TOKYO MOTOR SHOW 2011

Tokyo Motor Show is a biennial auto show held during November-December at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba City or Tokyo big sight in Koto ward of Tokyo, for cars, motorcycles, urban planning,


commercial vehicles, automotive accessories, and spare parts. Tokyo Motor Show is for display of New Japanese cars and non Japanese cars. Hosted by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA), Tokyo Motor Show is one of the world's largest motor show.

The first Tokyo Motor Show was held in Hibiya Park of Tokyo from April 20 to April 29, 1954. The show became a biennial event after the organisers decided that the event should be held every two years. a core exhibit area consisting of a theme movie as well as next-generation automobiles and basic technology guides welcomes visitors. SMART MOBILITY CITY 2011 will showcase "next-generation automobiles and the social systems with which they interact" to highlight the roles and responsibilities of the automotive industry amidst growing concern over the global environment and resources.

The aim of "SMART MOBILITY CITY 2011" is to look at the big-picture implications of what the realization of Japan's "Next Generation Auto Strategy" will bring about and how the automobile will be changed in response to and contribute to such fields as smart communities from which low-carbon societies will emerge through solar power generation, regional energy control and so forth,

as well as telematics, which will be improving automobile "safety" and "convenience." The exhibition is open to a broad range of industrial sectors and will also be an opportunity for participaters to explore the potentials for developing new industries and markets

All 14 manufacturers and 15 brands of Japanese cars as well as 19 companies and 22 brands from abroad (passenger cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles and Carrozzeria categories) will take part in the Show. This marks a magnificent comeback from the previous show,
